2010 CIRHEP has started a new project. The target group is adolescent girls in the area and the first girls have now been targeted and formed into two groups from the nearby village. It is a project were CIRHEP create a forum for the girls to talk about present problems, topics that are important for them. Together with the girls, CIRHEP staff organize the meetings. When expert knowledge is needed, guest lecturers will be organized. In time, 15 adolescent groups with girls will be formed in the project area with about 150 members. After that, groups with boys will also be orgaized.
The goal is to create awareness and a comfortable environment to talk about:

Gender equalities.

Violence and self defence.

Community issues such as early marriage and pregnancy.

Importance of education.

Heath promotion activities.

Physically- and mental health. For example create higher understanding on healthy nutrition, importance of exercise and encourage kitchen- and herbal garden near the house or/and at the farm. Knowledge on vegetable cultivation will be imparted.
- Environmental education.

Reproductive health. For example HIV/AIDS and other sexual transmitted diseases.

Hygiene, especially during menstruation.

Health related treatments.
